Preparing Your Pet for International Travel

Traveling internationally with your dog or cat requires more than booking a flight. Many countries have specific requirements involving health certificates, vaccinations, microchips, treatments, and travel documentation.

At Hawaiian Gardens Animal Hospital, we help pet owners navigate the international pet travel and health certificate process so you can better understand what’s required before your trip.

Complete International Pet Travel Documentation

Our complete international health certificate service is $750 and includes the necessary research and preparation for your pet’s international travel documents.

The service fee does not include medical treatments or procedures that may be required by your destination, including:

  • Vaccinations
  • Deworming
  • Microchip implantation
  • Other required medical services

Requirements vary by destination, so it’s important to begin planning as early as possible.

Don't Know What Your Destination Requires?

Initial Travel Research | $190

Our Initial Travel Research service is $190 and is a great starting point if you’re unsure about your destination’s requirements or whether you have enough time to complete them.

The service includes:

  • Researching your destination’s pet entry requirements
  • Starting your pet’s Passpaw case
  • Reviewing your anticipated travel dates
  • Determining whether the requirements can be completed within your desired timeline
  • Communicating the next steps with you

If you choose to proceed with our full international health certificate service, the $190 fee is credited toward the $750 total.
